Right Now, the small things that I love...

These are a few of the things that I'm in love with at the moment; my rolls of washitape (you just can't get too many of these), my new metal box for fine chocolate and other good stuff (a gift from my sweet sister) and that good cup of cappuccino with a couple of chocolate cookies in the afternoon is a must have:)

Remembering Our Summervacation...

While going through a lot of pics from the last couple of months I found these from a summer trip to a small Swedish town by the Baltic sea. DH and I had a wonderful time there, great food (a lot of delicious fish dishes on the menu), warm weather and such a beautiful scenery. Oh, and a pic of some of my pelargoniums at home too...

I'm working on some scrapbooking pages, with project life as inspiration, but month by month instead of weekly. These are a couple of journaling cards I've printed out for these layouts. In the second and third cards I've used graphics from Allison Kreft Abad's Echo Park kit "Everyday Eclectic". I've got both the paper version and the digital one from Jessica Sprague's digital shop. A great kit, beautiful colors.

A Week in My Life...

I'm very inspired by Project Life at the moment, this is just a simple digital layout with pics from this week. Although I'm planning a hybrid version...

Autumn is here, which I really enjoy. I love this time of the year, the clear air, the beautiful colors and those cozy moments inside with a homemade cappuccino when it's raining and blowing outside. Those gorgeous flowers smells like heaven and comes from my mum's garden...

A Simple Birthday Card...

Finally I'm making some creative stuff, this weekend I started making cards and even began working on a scrapbooking page (traditional paperwork, not digital). And I had so much fun:) Sometimes you're just full of energy and inspiration. Feels great!

Here's a birthday card I've made, I've used a clear stamp set from My Little Shoebox called "City by the Bay" and embossed it with white embossing powder (Zing, American Crafts). I was inspired by this card from Kristina Werner. She used Copic markers in soft pastel colors on some parts of the embossed areas with stunning results. As I haven't got any Copic markers I used my Brushables instead, although that didn't work out so well, it wouldn't stick to the embossed areas and I had to use a paper tissue to remove some of the color. Have to buy me some Copic markers!

Crazy About Chocolate...

So sorry about my long absence, health issues as usual, sigh... and no scrapbooking and cardmaking for a long while. Nothing to show you today either, just some photos from yesterday, the first from a visit at the local cafe. We had some delicious caffe lattes (vanilla and hazelnut) and a chocolate cake for me, carrot cake with frosting for DH which he really enjoyed.

Later on I felt like baking, finally deciding to make a chocolate cake decorated with chocolate frosting ( with peanut butter and Philadelphia cheese) and a lot of different kinds of nuts and some chocolate roses. I think I'm a bit crazy about chocolate, LOL...

Loving my Smash* book!

I bought a Mini Smash Folio a while ago and it's so much fun:) The Mini is such a great size too, easily slips into my handbag... The page spread about cupcakes was just perfect for my pics from the Easter coffee gathering I had the other day. Fun, easy and fast scrapbooking.

Cupcakes for Easter...

This year I baked Lemon cupcakes with green frosting and a Mango cheesecake for our Easter coffee table. Very much appreciated, especially by my two nephews. After the long search for the hidden eggs (the Easter bunny was very clever this year) in the garden, we all enjoyed some time together inside in the warmth. Yes, it´s still snow on the ground here...

I've also made a digital page about our Easter celebrations. It's a free template from Designer Digitals I've used, you can find it here.

A New Card...

Finally a new card, I'm not particularly productive, am I? Well, I bought a new stamp set the other day, by My Mind's Eye, from the "Follow your heart" line (Be Happy) and felt inspired.

I masked a sqaure in the middle of the cardfront and stamped the dot pattern outside it (Passion for Polka clearstamp by Technique Tuesday). I then made a frame with the help of some twine (Sew easy fancy floss, color blue lagoon). The butterfly is a clearstamp by Poppydesign, papers; Dots&Stripes by Echo Park and flowers by Prima.

First Aid Kit Band...

This blog-post has nothing to do with scrapbooking but I just wanted to celebrate that my favourite band "First Aid Kit" (two young Swedish sisters) got their first gold record in Sweden, three weeks after "The Lion's Roar" was released! So happy for them:) Their genre is folk/country/indie-pop I guess.

Making Quick Cards for Valentine's Day...

I realized the other day that it's soon Valentine´s Day (or All Hearts Day as we call it in Sweden). So what to do when you're in a hurry and can't find any suitable stamps? Well, luckily I happened to read a recent blog-post by pro card-maker Jennifer McGuire, she had made the cutest hybrid cards with a pair of owls AND she's got a link to a free PDF-file that you just can print out on white card-stock. Makes it all super easy! You can find her blog-post here.

Here's my version of the card, not especially original as it's rather similar to Jennifer's card, but a really quick card:)

I've stamped the Kraft card-base with a background stamp from Hero Arts; Designer Woodgrain, pink paper from Echo Park.
