A New Years Eve Freebie....

As in the famous ABBA-song, I say "Happy New Year" to you all, it's not much left of 2007... I have a freebie for you, I made some papers and elements for your festive new years eve photos. I'm a bit uncertain about the colorcombination though, even if I like the single papers. Believe it or not, the texture of the three shiny solids comes from a new skirt of mine.

My DH thinks I'm so funny, taking photos of all textures I can find, even the carpets of the hotel we stayed at in Denmark this summer, lol. Well, perhaps I'm a bit crazy...

Have a great new years eve,

A little freebie again...

Credits: Backgroundpaper; from Almost Solids by me,

Frames 5), Flower Vine by Jenna Desai, clock-face by
[ksharonk] (freebie), alpha; Glass Beaded Alpha by
Dirty feet designs, stitched swirl by Something Blue
Studios digital design, font; Century Gothic.

I call these papers "Almost Solids" because there are some grids here and there on some of the papers. Nothing special, but they can be useful as backgrounds for more colorful stuff, I hope.

There's a little butterfly-brooch too that I extracted today. The preview looked rather boring so I needed a little something extra.

My layout above is about my sisters son, who has a lot of deep ponderings about death and such things. After his little brother was baptized in June, he wandered about the churchyard with my youngest sister, his aunt. Really serious discussions....What happens when you die? What happens with the skeleton when you are dead? Its not so easy to answer...

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and happy holidays with family and friends and I also want to send you many hugs for all your nice and supporting comments, I love to read them.

It's been a busy time before Christmas for me as for most people I guess, so I haven't been blogging for a while. But there will soon be more freebies I think, I have a few kits I'm working on, yes when I got stuck with one I continue with another. Don't know if that's a good way to work or not but that's how I do it. At the moment I got six projects I'm working on at the same time as I'm trying to learn how to handle Photoshop. There always seems to be new things to learn about Photoshop, I'm trying to cope with the pentool at the moment, is it difficult or what? I read somewhere that it's like learning to ride a bike, hard at first but easy when you finally mastered it. Hopefully that is true...

Time for a new freebie...

I made some papers and elements the other day that I thought could be good together with winterphotos. I named it "Winterworld", but thats probably swenglish, lol. Its just what I thought of when I made it, a world full of snow.

Not that it is much snow here where I live, and the weatherforecast says no snow for christmas, which is rather sad. I mean, I live in the middle of Sweden, its december and no snow. I know, it must be the greenhouseeffect, and I really hope something positive is happening on Bali as I write this, but I doubt it. Seems like there will be no resolutions, no definite result of the meeting. And its the poor countries that suffer the most of naturecatastrophes, not we in the rich world, its we that should be doing something. Oh, this was a heavy subject, sorry. I watched the news this morning and this has been in my thoughts since.

The good thing today is that it's Lucia-day and I love that. Early this morning every child in Sweden was dressed up and full of excitement. Its celebrated everywhere in our society, in pre-schools, schools, workingplaces, on TV and so on. And tonight the grownup-Lucia is crowned in every city, often in the churches, like in my own town. Thats a bit strange really, as we are protestants and Lucia is a catholic saint. But thats how it is...

I almost forgot the freebie, its here

Hope you all have a beautiful Lucia-day, wherever you are.

I've been scrapping today...

Thank you so much for all your nice comments, its such a joy to read... Today I've been scrapping for an album with my sisters two boys. It's going to be a christmas gift so I have to hurry, it's not so many days left.

Have you visited Catscrap.com? I bought Danielles kit "Provence, revisited" the other day, and I love it. I bought some other stuff there too, its such an inspiring digi-shoppe!

So here is my LO that I made today.

A little freebie for Lucia-day

We are celebrating Lucia (saint Lucy) on thursday the 13th of december here in Sweden. Its not a national holiday but a big event anyway. You can read about it here

So I've made a little kit with some stickers I have drawn and then scanned and painted in photoshop. I made it mostly for myself but perhaps there are some swedish digiscrappers that are interested?

I'm blogging again...

I put this blog down, a couple of months ago, in a frustrated moment so to speak, really stupid of me, lol. It wasn't planned at all, but afterwards I thought that it could be good for me to be away from my dear computer, at least for a while. I had been so addicted to digiscrapping , my blog and the internet that I felt I had to do other things...

I've breastcancer that has spread to the skeleton and liver, so it can't be cured but for two years now I've been helped by heavy chemotherapy, and I'm very thankful for that. But it makes me also very aware of the time passing by. After putting down my blog I tried to socialize more with my family and friends and be more outdoors than I had before and thats good but I have missed my blog and digiscrapping so now I 'm trying to make a balance in my life. I have to limit the time by the computer and take long walks every day, at least I have promised myself that. Have you noticed that when you are creating something you have no sense of time?

These last couple of weeks I've been doing some papers and elements that I would like to share here on my blog. A small thank you for all the wonderful freebies I've downloaded since I started digiscrapping.
